A graduate of Beloit College, Glenda Reed has worked on both sides of the fundraising continuum as a grant writer and a grant maker. As a grant writer, she has helped support arts, social justice, health, and human services organizations, as well as individual artist. As a grant maker, she has reviewed applications as well as interim and final reports for the Center for Architecture Foundation in New York—a 3.5 million dollar foundation. She has also worked on reporting for NEA and NY state grants. At the Center for Architecture, she administered multi-million dollar fundraising initiatives. As a freelance grant writer, she has worked on 10 successful proposals in 2 years, raising more than $100k. At a time when divisiveness reigns in this country, Glenda is excited and heartened by opportunities to strengthen communities and support the arts.
